Delta cancels hundreds more flights as recovery from global CrowdStrike-Microsoft outage lags

Delta Airlines is currently facing major disruptions in their flight operations as a result of a global CrowdStrike-Microsoft outage. While other airlines were able to quickly recover and resume normal activities, Delta is still struggling, with hundreds of flights being canceled and delayed. The ripple effects of these disruptions are significant, impacting not only passengers but also airline staff who have to adjust crew rosters and deal with out-of-position aircraft.

Microsoft’s recent debacle with the controversial Windows 11 feature that constantly takes screenshots of your PC’s screen has left many users, including myself, feeling a bit unsettled. The rollercoaster ride of announcing, backlash, and backpedaling on this invasive feature is nothing new when it comes to Microsoft. However, the fact that it was initially planned to be ON by default is alarming to say the least.
