Trump Fires US Attorney After Border Agent Law Compliance Order

Following a warning to immigration agents about indiscriminate detentions, Acting US Attorney Michele Beckwith was terminated by President Trump. The termination came shortly after Beckwith informed Border Patrol that agents must comply with court orders prohibiting detention without reasonable suspicion, and the Supreme Court had recently overturned a similar order. The same day as the termination, Border Patrol proceeded with a raid in Sacramento.
