Mehdi Hasan: Trump’s Exploitation of Kirk’s Death to Attack the Left
Following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, President Trump announced the suspected gunman had been apprehended and will be honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump and other Republicans have used the tragedy to attack the political left, despite the lack of motive or confirmation of the killer’s political affiliation.
