Trump Denies Knowing Surgeon General Pick He Called “One of the Finest”

President Trump nominated Dr. Casey Means, a wellness influencer and associate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as surgeon general, replacing his previous nominee. This nomination, however, faced immediate criticism due to Means’ incomplete medical residency and currently inactive medical license. Trump later admitted to being unfamiliar with Means, attributing the nomination to Kennedy’s endorsement. Means’ qualifications are expected to undergo congressional scrutiny.

South Korea to suspend licenses of striking doctors as they refuse to end walkouts

As I sit down to reflect on the current situation in South Korea regarding the striking doctors and the government’s decision to potentially suspend their licenses, I can’t help but feel a sense of dismay and frustration at the way this issue is being handled. The notion of suspending the licenses of doctors who are already in short supply seems counterintuitive and short-sighted to me.

The idea that revoking licenses will somehow force doctors back to work seems like a flawed approach. It’s akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face.
