Questioning police tactics: Diabetic man’s arrest at Walmart sparks controversy
As a Type 1 Diabetic, reading the story of a man suffering a diabetic emergency who was subjected to police violence at Walmart sends chills down my spine. It hits close to home, as I have experienced severe lows that leave me disoriented and unable to comprehend my surroundings. The fear that this could happen to me, a loved one, or anyone in the Diabetic community is a chilling reality that we have to live with.
