As I sit here contemplating the recent events in Dolton, specifically regarding Mayor Tiffany Henyard vetoing an investigation into herself amid corruption accusations, I am left utterly dumbfounded. How can someone in a position of power, entrusted by the community to act in their best interests, so blatantly block transparency and accountability?
