The videos circulating of riot police forcibly taking the ballot boxes are just a small glimpse into the corruption and manipulation happening in the country. The results announced by the electoral authority are a slap in the face to the opposition and to all those who believed in the power of democracy.

The overwhelming turnout by the opposition speaks volumes about the desire for change and for a brighter future in Venezuela.
