New York appeals court rejects Donald Trump’s third request to delay April 15 hush money trial

The New York appeals court has dealt another blow to Donald Trump’s legal team by rejecting his third attempt to delay the start of his hush money trial. The former president’s lawyers have been scrambling to postpone the trial, arguing that he should be out on the campaign trail rather than defending himself in court. It’s baffling to see the audacity with which Trump and his team continue to try and delay the inevitable.

Trump contends that he is immune from prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his time in office. However, his lawyers have not raised this as a defense in the hush-money case.… Continue reading
