Mississippi Teen’s Early Law Degree Sparks Debate on Childhood and Career Choice
James “Jimmy” Chilimigras, at just 18 years old, has achieved a remarkable milestone by graduating with highest honors from Loyola University New Orleans’ law school. His journey began at 15, demonstrating exceptional academic prowess with a top-tier LSAT score and an early start in higher education, having already earned multiple degrees. Throughout his studies, Chilimigras not only excelled academically, ranking in the top 2% of his class, but also gained practical experience and specialized in five distinct areas of law, a feat believed to be unmatched at Loyola. This accomplishment positions him among the youngest law school graduates globally and in Louisiana’s history, with plans to further his education by pursuing an LLM in taxation.
