It’s devastating news to hear that King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer. After waiting his whole life to become king, it seems that his body is now trying to betray him. As a urologist, my professional opinion leads me to believe that it may be bladder cancer. However, without knowing the specific details of his pathology, it’s hard to determine his prognosis.
Fortunately, the mention of “routine treatments” gives me hope that his prognosis is favorable. Around 70% of bladder tumors can be managed without major surgery or chemotherapy.
