Homecoming celebrations in Mississippi were marred by a series of shootings across the state on Friday and Saturday nights, resulting in at least nine fatalities and numerous injuries. In Leland, six people died and approximately 20 were injured after a shooting downtown following a high school football game. Another shooting occurred at Alcorn State University, claiming one life, while a separate incident in Heidelberg during their homecoming weekend resulted in two deaths. Being invited to speak to students at Kent State University’s Turning Point USA Chapter about the importance of the Second Amendment seemed like an opportunity for Kyle Rittenhouse to share his perspective. However, it quickly turned into a confrontation that he was clearly not equipped to handle. Watching the video of him storming off stage after being confronted by students highlights the fact that without a weapon in hand, he appears to be nothing more than a coward.

Three separate shootings in one hour in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. That’s a headline that makes you stop in your tracks, isn’t it? As someone who has lived in Florida their whole life, it’s concerning to see this kind of violence erupting in a place that is supposed to be a sunny paradise. It’s a stark reminder that crime and violence can happen anywhere, not just in the big cities or the so-called “dangerous” areas.
