His legal team argues that the video, which captures him in a vulnerable state during sobriety tests and his arrest, would cause irreparable harm to his privacy and reputation. Village officials, however, maintain that transparency laws generally mandate the release of such footage, even with redactions, after a thorough review to ensure public safety. Timberlake had previously pleaded guilty to impaired driving and participated in a public safety announcement regarding drunk driving as part of his plea agreement.
