This “Anti-Weaponization Fund” is part of a settlement resolving President Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS over leaked tax returns. While acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated it aims to provide redress for victims of “lawfare,” critics, including nearly 100 House Democrats and government watchdogs, have denounced the arrangement as corrupt and unconstitutional, viewing it as a taxpayer-funded reward for presidential allies.
