This appointment comes despite Navarro’s previous involvement in promoting unsubstantiated claims of election fraud. Trump defended Navarro, characterizing his conviction as unjust persecution by the “Deep State.” Navarro’s role will center on implementing protectionist policies such as “Buy American, Hire American.”

It’s not every day that you hear about a Republican speaking at the Democratic National Convention, but that’s exactly what’s happening this week. Former GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger is set to take the stage on Thursday, the same night Vice President Kamala Harris will be giving her keynote speech. Now, when it comes to politics, I can’t say I’ve always seen eye to eye with Kinzinger. His voting record and policies haven’t always aligned with my own beliefs. But when it comes to integrity and courage, there’s no denying that Kinzinger stands out.

Supreme Court says Trump White House official Peter Navarro must begin prison sentence

Peter Navarro, a former Trump White House official, has been dealt a blow by the Supreme Court. The highest court rejected his bid to remain free while he appeals his conviction for defying a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee. It is time for Prison Mike to face the consequences of his actions. The fact that Navarro thought he could escape prison shows a sense of entitlement and privilege that is all too common among the wealthy and powerful.
