The situation surrounding American gymnast Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal being revoked after a court mandates a score change has not only left fans and spectators bewildered but has also tarnished the integrity of the competition.

As I sit here pondering the recent news about Russian athletes openly defying neutrality rules at the Olympic Games, my blood begins to boil. How can these individuals, representing a nation that has invaded Ukraine, be allowed to participate at all? The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is failing to uphold the principles of the Games by turning a blind eye to their actions.

It’s absurd to think that these athletes can compete under a neutral banner while openly supporting their country’s aggression.
