I can’t fathom the level of insensitivity and cruelty displayed by Trump VP contender Kristi Noem when she boldly stated that there should be no exceptions for survivors of rape and incest when it comes to abortion laws. It’s appalling to think that she and others in the Republican party believe that it’s “God’s will” for a woman who has been violently attacked to carry and give birth to the child of her assailant. Such callous disregard for the physical and emotional trauma that survivors endure is nothing short of inhuman.
