As a concerned citizen, I couldn’t be more pleased with the recent ruling by a Cook County judge to remove Donald Trump from the Illinois primary ballot. This decision is not just about political maneuvering; it’s a statement of accountability and justice. Trump’s role in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, was a blatant attack on democracy and the rule of law. It’s reassuring to see that there are still those in power who are willing to take a stand against such egregious behavior.
