EU Condemns Russian ICBM Launch as Clear Escalation

Following reports of a Russian ICBM launch targeting Dnipro, Ukraine, EU officials have expressed serious concern. The use of such a weapon, if confirmed, would represent a significant escalation of the conflict and a potential qualitative shift in the war. While Ukraine claims a high degree of certainty, Western officials remain cautious, with some suggesting the missile may have been a conventional ballistic missile. The incident comes amid heightened tensions, following recent U.S. authorization of Ukrainian strikes within Russia and Russia’s updated nuclear policy.

Russia Fires Intercontinental Missile at Ukraine: Major Escalation?

Ukraine claims Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) during a recent attack, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict. This alleged use of an ICBM, designed to strike targets thousands of kilometers away, is unprecedented since the war began, and has understandably raised serious concerns worldwide. The attack, which targeted the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro, was part of a broader barrage and immediately sparked a heated debate about the implications of this action.

The situation immediately fueled anxieties regarding a potential accidental triggering of a nuclear response. Firing ICBMs, even with conventional warheads, is viewed by many as an extremely dangerous gamble, pushing the conflict perilously close to the brink.… Continue reading

North Korea Launches Banned ICBM in Record Flight, Escalating Regional Tensions

North Korea has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that flew for 86 minutes, marking the longest flight time yet. The missile reached a height of 7,000 km. South Korean and US officials have agreed to “take strong and varied response measures,” and South Korea has vowed to impose fresh sanctions on North Korea in response. Both North Korea and Russia have yet to confirm or deny these claims.

Satellite footage suggests Russia ICBM launch test was a disaster

Satellite footage suggests that Russia’s recent ICBM launch test was nothing short of a disaster. The RS-28 Sarmat, touted by President Vladimir Putin as a formidable weapon with virtually no range limitations, seems to have failed spectacularly, leaving many questioning the state of Russia’s military prowess.

The aftermath of the test has not only raised eyebrows but also sparked a wave of mockery and skepticism. Some have even gone as far as to suggest sabotage, pointing out the subpar track record of Russian engineering. The use of consumer-grade pagers in the telemetry systems of the missile has only added to the embarrassment, highlighting the lack of attention to detail and maintenance in Russia’s military infrastructure.… Continue reading

Massive Explosion Hits Russian Plant Making Nuclear Capable ICBMs

Yesterday, my social media feeds were filled with reports of a massive explosion at a Russian plant that manufactures nuclear capable Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs). The official response from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations was that there was no powerful explosion and that it was just a scheduled test of rocket engines. Classic Russia, denying and minimizing anything that makes them look bad.

This incident reminded me of an episode of the TV show “The West Wing” that I’ve been watching lately. In the episode, a Russian missile silo explodes and the Russians claim it’s an oil refinery.… Continue reading
