This action follows previous accusations of hacking targeting journalists, activists, and opposition figures, including the confirmed purchase of Israeli spyware. While the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) declined to comment specifically, it underscored the importance of unhindered investigations into EU financial interests.
