The news that the NYPD is preparing to revoke Donald Trump’s license to carry a gun after his felony conviction in New York is not only expected but also necessary. Let’s face it, does anyone really believe that Trump has ever actually used a firearm? If you handed him a loaded gun at a firing range, he would probably break every gun safety rule within seconds. His track record with firearms is so unimpressive that even his staunchest supporters, the MAGA crowd, would have a hard time trusting him with a gun.

Maryland bill would force gun owners to get $300K liability insurance to wear or carry

As a gun owner, I never thought I would see the day when I would be required to have liability insurance just to exercise my constitutional rights. However, it seems that this day may be coming sooner than I expected, with the introduction of a Maryland bill that would force gun owners to get $300K liability insurance in order to wear or carry a firearm.

At first glance, the idea of requiring insurance for gun owners may seem reasonable. After all, if you are going to carry a weapon, it would be smart to have insurance to protect yourself legally.
