The news of the Great Barrier Reef being dealt its death blow is a devastating reality that hits close to home for many of us. As someone who grew up with the GBR as a cherished part of my life, hearing about its demise is truly heart-wrenching. The memories of fundraising in school to protect rainforests and learning about the dangers of coral bleaching resonate deeply.
