Trump Chooses Golf Dinner Over Fallen Soldiers’ Remembrance

While four U.S. soldiers who perished in a Lithuanian training accident were honored in a dignified departure ceremony attended by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, President Trump instead attended a Saudi-funded golf tournament in Florida. The White House did not respond to inquiries regarding the President’s absence from the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base. Previous presidents have attended such ceremonies, although it’s not obligatory. Trump’s attendance record at these events has been notably low since a 2017 incident involving a grieving family.
