US Supreme Court justices disclose Bali hotel stay, Beyoncé tickets, book deals

US Supreme Court justices disclosing gifts and questionable deals is a topic that strikes a chord with many individuals, including myself. As someone who has had to adhere to strict guidelines regarding gifts and gratuities in various professional settings, it is disheartening to see those in the highest positions of the judicial system seemingly flout these ethical standards without consequence.

It is alarming to think that while I, as a public school employee, can’t accept a gift worth more than $50, Supreme Court justices are accepting trips to Bali, Beyoncé tickets, and book deals from private companies.
