There have been 3.2 million votes cast thus far, according to election data from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office. Raffensperger, both he and Sterling are Republicans, said this is going to be a “tight election” but “it’s going to be a close election in all battleground states” so Georgia voters should expect a long Super Tuesday night. The early voting period ends on Friday, November 1, and with a 45% statewide turnout, there has been a record number of votes cast in Georgia, a crucial battleground state for United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. As to be expected, the majority of the votes come from metro Atlanta where the majority of the state’s voters reside, but there have also been record-breaking turnouts in smaller and mid-sized counties up and down the state.
As a voter in Georgia, the recent Fox News poll results showing Kamala Harris ahead of Donald Trump by 3 points in the state caught my attention. It’s refreshing to see such a significant lead for Harris, especially when it comes to helping the middle class and being seen as the change candidate. It’s clear that Georgians trust Harris over Trump on these key issues, and it reflects an important shift in voter sentiment.
The breakdown of the poll numbers is fascinating, especially how Harris is leading among key demographics such as women, moderates, and even some non-MAGA Republicans. The fact that she is seen as more likely to bring change and fight for the middle class resonates with voters and showcases the potential for a strong showing come election day.… Continue reading
I am deeply troubled by the recent decision of the pro-Trump Georgia election board to change the rules just 45 days before the upcoming election. This move reeks of bad faith and blatant attempts to manipulate the election process in favor of their preferred candidate. It is alarming to see such significant changes being made so close to a crucial election, especially when these changes are likely to create logistical issues that cannot be properly addressed in such a short amount of time.
What is even more concerning is the fact that the election board members were clearly made aware of the potential problems that these changes would bring, yet they proceeded anyway.… Continue reading
As a Georgia resident, the recent decision by the Georgia election board to order a hand count of votes in the US presidential contest has left me deeply unsettled. The implications of this decision go far beyond what appears to be a simple request for a recount. There are concerns raised that the board may be overstepping its statutory authority and potentially opening the door for chaos and manipulation in the election process.
The idea of hand counting millions of votes in such a crucial and time-sensitive election is not only impractical but also raises questions about the motives behind this decision.… Continue reading
It’s truly disturbing to think about the very people who are supposed to uphold the integrity of our elections actively working behind closed doors to create chaos and sow doubt in our democratic process. The revelations of a network of county election officials in Georgia strategizing to aid Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election are not just disappointing, but deeply concerning. The fact that individuals involved in such a plot are not immediately apprehended and held accountable for their actions is infuriating.
It’s clear that the aim here is not to win the election fair and square, but rather to ensure that the results are disputed, leading to escalating chaos and potentially justifying a coup.… Continue reading
I can’t believe people think this guy is worthy of the presidency just based on his social media activity. Nevermind the fraud and raping and riot at the Capitol. Georgia…let’s fire up again! Let’s see that 2020 momentum!
Harris leads Trump by double digits with independent voters in Georgia. If those trends hold and translate to other swing states, this is going to be a bloodbath in November. Kamala Harris really needs to find a way to connect with young voters and convince them Trump is the worst choice for their future. It can be challenging since young voters are influenced by social media and conservative news sites, but it’s crucial to get the truth out.… Continue reading
It’s infuriating to see the wheels of justice turn so slowly when it comes to holding someone as corrupt and dangerous as Donald Trump accountable for his crimes. The fact that his appeal to remove District Attorney Willis from the Georgia election subversion case won’t even be heard until October, likely pushing the trial past Election Day, is beyond frustrating. It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion and being powerless to stop it.
The blatant abuse of the legal system to delay, obfuscate, and manipulate the course of justice is a slap in the face to every American who believes in the principles of democracy and accountability.… Continue reading
