As I reflect on the recent news that President Biden has pardoned those who were convicted of gay sex under old military laws, I am filled with a sense of relief and gratitude. It is heartwarming to see that these individuals, who were unjustly punished for being themselves, are finally being granted the opportunity to have their convictions overturned and their benefits reinstated.
It is truly astonishing to think that in this day and age, people could be prosecuted and imprisoned for simply engaging in consensual adult relationships.
