As a woman in today’s society, it is disheartening to see political leaders resorting to name-calling and derogatory remarks towards women who are simply doing their jobs. In a recent incident, President Trump referred to an MSNBC host as a ‘bimbo’ after she made a case for voting against him. This insult, which has nothing to do with the content of her statements and instead is focused entirely on her gender, is sadly not surprising coming from a man who has a long history of making derogatory and disrespectful comments towards women.

The audacity of some individuals truly knows no bounds. The sheer brazenness with which an ex-politician accused of killing a Vegas reporter claims that he would have won re-election if the victim hadn’t published damaging pieces is truly mind-boggling. Blaming the victim for your own murderous actions while on trial for their death is a new low that I never thought any sane person could reach.
