I was recently watching a video of a speech given by the former president, and I couldn’t help but be taken aback by his bizarre comments about a fly that was bothering him on stage. I never would have imagined that a local police officer would encounter a shooter before they fired towards the former President of the United States. The sheer magnitude of this incident is staggering. It is disheartening to think that there were missed opportunities to prevent the attack during the shooting. The fact that the rooftop where the shooter was positioned was not secured is beyond comprehension. How can such a glaring security oversight occur during an event with an ex-president in attendance?
