Five Rescued After Week Trapped in Flooded Laos Gold Mine Cave
As part of a rescue operation in Laos, five villagers have been discovered alive inside a flooded cave, a week after being trapped by heavy rains and landslides. The group of seven had entered the cave in search of gold deposits and wildlife, only to find their exit blocked. While five have been found, two other villagers remain missing. Rescuers navigated treacherous, muddy, and nearly submerged passageways to reach the survivors.
