I am utterly appalled by the recent comments made by Trump regarding the origin of COVID-19. To suggest that the virus started when ‘dust flew in from China’ is not just a display of ignorance but a complete lack of understanding of the gravity of the situation. The fact that he downplayed the severity of the pandemic from the beginning is nothing short of catastrophic.
From his nonsensical claims that the virus would disappear magically by Easter to his lack of urgency in invoking the defense production act, Trump’s handling of the pandemic was nothing short of a disaster.
