A severe hailstorm on Tuesday caused significant damage at Dickerson Park Zoo, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old emu named Adam and injury to a male rhea currently receiving veterinary care. The storm, which struck around 11 a.m., also damaged the roofs of several zoo buildings.
