As I read the heartbreaking news about the 8-year-old Kentucky boy who tragically lost his life due to a fentanyl overdose, my heart sank. The initial reports suggested that the child had passed away from an allergic reaction to strawberries, a scenario that seemed utterly perplexing. As someone with a lifelong strawberry allergy, I know firsthand that such allergies are typically mild and rarely ever fatal. The chances of dying from ingesting strawberries are incredibly slim, making the situation even more bewildering.
