FedEx Driver Sentenced to Death for Murder of Seven-Year-Old
A FedEx driver, Tanner Horner, has been sentenced to death by lethal injection for the 2022 kidnapping and murder of seven-year-old Athena Strand. Horner pleaded guilty to capital murder, and after 19 days of testimony, a Texas jury reached the death penalty verdict. Prosecutors presented evidence including an audio recording from Horner’s van and his confession, arguing he fantasized about the murder.
