Ex-wives Warned ICE Agent of Violent Past Before Maine Shooting
The ex-wives of the ICE agent involved in a fatal shooting of a Colombian immigrant have spoken out, claiming their concerns about his violent past were ignored by the agency during his hiring process. Both women described a history of aggression and threats, with one stating she explicitly warned people that her ex-husband was “going to hurt somebody.” They believe that if ICE had conducted a more thorough background check, including contacting them, the tragedy could have been prevented, especially given reports that the victim was legally in the U.S.
