As a self-proclaimed “Tech Bro” in my 30s, the idea of owning a Tesla used to be an exciting prospect for me. The sleek design, the cutting-edge technology, and the environmentally-friendly aspect all appealed to my sensibilities. However, as time has passed, my enthusiasm for Tesla has waned, and Elon Musk’s politics are a significant contributing factor to this change of heart.
In recent years, Elon Musk’s controversial statements and actions have caused a rift among potential Tesla buyers, especially those who lean towards liberal ideologies. It’s no secret that car ownership often involves making a statement.
