Pizzagate Gunman Killed by Police After Pulling Weapon

On January 4th, Kannapolis police officers stopped Edgar Maddison Welch, who had an outstanding warrant, resulting in a shooting. Welch, the passenger, drew a handgun, prompting officers to return fire, fatally wounding him. The incident is under investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the officers involved are on administrative leave.
