Trump’s Iran Deal is a Costly Surrender

Despite declarations of a completed peace deal with Iran, the reported agreement is characterized as a surrender rather than a genuine resolution. This outcome leaves Iran in a stronger geopolitical position, having demonstrated its ability to disrupt global oil supplies. The current “deal” appears to be an agreement to cease hostilities in exchange for Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz, effectively returning to the status quo ante before the conflict.
