I can’t say I’m surprised by the recent revelation that Dutch politicians were offered cash to back Russian propaganda. The fact that politicians from various countries have succumbed to these underhanded tactics is a chilling reminder of the lengths to which Russia will go to sow division and weaken the West.
In the case of Dutch politician Thierry Baudet, suspicions have long been circulating about his ties to Russia. The insidious nature of this kind of propaganda influence cannot be underestimated. It’s clear that Russia’s aim is to manipulate and control politicians in order to further their own agenda.
