As the world watches the Olympic Games, the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and excellence should prevail. However, the recent news of a Dutch beach volleyball player who was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl has stirred up controversy across the globe. Steven van de Velde, a convicted child rapist, is representing his country in the Olympics, and the crowd’s reaction to him is speaking volumes.
