Iranian Doctor Estimates Massacre Death Toll in Tens of Thousands

Hospitals across the country were inundated with casualties, and Arash estimated that the actual death toll from the protests was far higher than the initial figures released by the Iranian government. Another protestor, Navid, described the violent response in Rasht, where security forces opened fire on demonstrators. A third individual, Sara, also recounted the violent suppression of protestors, describing how the protestors were unarmed and were met with deadly force.
