When I read the recent news about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas finally reporting gifts that he claims were ‘inadvertently omitted’ from his disclosures, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of frustration and disappointment. The fact that he omitted a plane trip to Indonesia, a yacht, and other luxury gifts raises serious concerns about his interpretation of his disclosure responsibilities.
