I must say, I am absolutely baffled by the recent dismissal of Disney’s lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The judge in question, Allen Winsor, claims that Disney lacks legal standing to sue on the grounds of First Amendment violations, despite acknowledging the significant harm that the legislation has caused to the company. It’s truly mind-boggling.

I would love for someone with a legal background to explain this to me. How can Disney, a corporation that has clearly been negatively impacted by these laws, not have standing to sue? It seems absurd. And why is it that they can’t even regain control of their own district?… Continue reading
