It never ceases to amaze me how far some individuals will go to discredit and dehumanize others, especially when it comes to women in positions of power. The recent demand by ex-Trump adviser Peter Navarro to stop using Vice President Kamala Harris’s first name because it supposedly “personalizes her” is not only absurd but also blatantly disrespectful.

As I sit here, attempting to process the sheer audacity and cruelty of the words I have just read, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of exhaustion. How did we get to this point?
