NATO is reportedly planning to take over the coordination of arms supplies to Ukraine, a responsibility that was previously held by the United States. This move is being pursued due to concerns about the unpredictability of American commitments, particularly with regards to President Donald Trump’s re-election prospects. The idea behind this shift is to ensure a more reliable and consistent defense partnership for Ukraine, as well as to safeguard against potential political obstacles that could hinder support to allies.
