Former CBP Officer Gets Nearly 6 Years for Child Pornography, Sparks Outrage and Controversy

Former Customs and Border Patrol agent Anthony Crowley has been sentenced to 71 months in federal prison for possessing child pornography. Following his prison sentence, Crowley will be under supervised release for ten years. The investigation began in 2022 after authorities received a tip about child sex abuse materials being uploaded to Kik, leading them to Crowley. Further investigation revealed more of the illegal content on his electronic devices; Crowley was employed by Customs and Border Patrol at the time of his arrest and was later suspended indefinitely.
