A middle school teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested after a drug dog alerted officials to the presence of cocaine in her wallet during a random search. The teacher, identified as 47-year-old Virginia Somers, allegedly told authorities the cocaine belonged to a friend. Following the discovery, a search of Somers’ car revealed marijuana and related paraphernalia. Devin Carroll, a 22-year-old pastor and former in-school suspension aide at Conway Middle School, has been arrested and charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
