I am utterly flabbergasted by the audacity of JD Vance to suggest that the GOP should threaten a government shutdown. The very idea that someone entrusted with governing the country would even consider such a reckless course of action is mind-boggling. Vance seems to have forgotten the fundamental purpose of a government, which is to govern, not to hold the American people hostage to further his own political agenda.
