This situation is truly mind-boggling. A volunteer rescue pilot, willing to risk his life to save others, was threatened with arrest by the Lake Lure Fire and Emergency Management Asst. Chief Chris Melton. The lack of communication and coordination in an emergency situation is concerning. The focus should always be on saving lives, not power trips or ego clashes.
Melton’s actions in threatening the pilot for completing a rescue mission are appalling. The heroism displayed by the pilot should be praised, not met with threats of arrest. Hezbollah hand-held radios detonate across Lebanon. This new development comes right after the chaos caused by the exploding pagers yesterday. The fact that these explosions occurred so soon after the previous incident raises questions about why Hezbollah continued to use the radios after the pagers blew up. It almost feels like a ridiculous movie plot, but this is the reality in Lebanon right now. The explosions, reported by Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV, have spread paranoia across the country. Imagine the fear and suspicion that must be running through the higher ranks of Hezbollah. As I reflect on Trump’s claims of being a genius speaker, I can’t help but feel a sense of disbelief at the audacity of such statements. The idea that every word out of his mouth is a lie is a concept that seems to be continually reinforced by his nonsensical ramblings. The way in which he interjects the word “like” multiple times in a single sentence and still claims to be a great speaker is truly mind-boggling.
