A Large Percentage of Republican Primary Voters Can’t Stomach Trump

While it may seem like a no-brainer for a large percentage of Republican primary voters to not support Trump, the reality is that many of them end up voting for him anyway. The idea that a significant fraction of GOP voters can’t stomach Trump, yet will still cast their ballot in his favor, is certainly perplexing. It begs the question of what drives these voters to compromise their values and principles in support of a candidate they claim to find repugnant.

It is truly baffling to witness the shift in beliefs among Trump voters who now claim that “Russia is not our enemy.” The level of cognitive dissonance and brainwashing is alarming. As someone who holds dear the values of democracy and freedom, it is deeply concerning to see individuals disregard the longstanding history of conflict and aggression displayed by Russia towards the United States and its allies.
