Kamala Harris Hits It Out of the Park, CNN Not So Much
As I sat down to watch Kamala Harris’s interview on CNN, I had high hopes. I expected insightful questions that would shed light on her policies, her plans for the future, and her vision for America. Instead, what I witnessed was a disappointing display of political gossip, insipid questions, and an overall lack of substance. Dana Bash, the interviewer, seemed more focused on eliciting a “gotcha” moment than on diving into the real issues that matter to voters.

I was utterly disappointed after watching the recent presidential debate on CNN. The main reason for my disappointment was the lack of proper fact-checking and accountability for the falsehoods presented by Trump throughout the entire event. It is no secret that Trump has a history of dishonesty, yet CNN failed to address this issue adequately, which only perpetuated a platform for his lies to spread.
The debate should have been a platform for candidates to present their policies and ideas, not a stage for one to spout misinformation and untruths without repercussions. The lack of real-time fact-checking and moderation allowed Trump to manipulate the narrative and deceive the audience with his lies, all the while avoiding substantive discussions on critical issues.… Continue reading
The recent debate between Trump and Biden on CNN was an absolute disaster. The lack of fact checking allowed Trump to spout lies without consequence, while Biden struggled to counter the misinformation. Watching the debate felt like a waste of time, as the moderators failed to hold the candidates accountable for their statements.
It’s appalling that Trump was able to talk about post-birth abortions without being fact-checked. PBS, on the other hand, provided live fact-checking and called out Trump’s lies. The contrast between the two networks was stark, highlighting the importance of holding politicians accountable for their falsehoods.

As I sit back and read about the recent incident where a Trump spokesperson’s angry rant was cut off by CNN, I can’t help but chuckle at the uproar it has caused among the MAGA crowd. The irony of a group known for their tough “fuck your feelings” attitude getting all in a tizzy over a news network shutting down a tirade is not lost on me.
News networks have a responsibility to uphold certain standards of professionalism, and allowing an unhinged rant to continue unchecked does no favors to anyone involved. So, when CNN decided to pull the plug on the spokesperson’s diatribe, I couldn’t help but nod in approval.… Continue reading
