GOP senator blocks bill designed to protect IVF treatment because it could legalize ‘the creation of human-animal chimeras’
I cannot believe my eyes when I read about GOP Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith’s decision to block a bill designed to protect IVF treatment because she believes it could potentially legalize the creation of human-animal chimeras. The sheer level of ignorance and fear-mongering displayed by these so-called representatives of the people is utterly bewildering. To think that a Senator would actually voice concerns about a non-existent threat of human-animal hybrids being created through IVF is beyond absurd. It is a clear indication of the lack of understanding and knowledge that exists within certain segments of our political system.
It is alarming to see how easily misinformation and baseless fears can be used to obstruct important legislation that could potentially protect and enhance reproductive rights for countless individuals.… Continue reading
